Turkish Pasta

Simple. Delicious. Quick. You will find the recipe for this Turkish pasta hits all the boxes.
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces of pasta
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. red pepper or tomato paste
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 2 tsp. sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Garlic Yogurt Sauce
- 1 cup Greek yogurt - unsweetened plain
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Butter Sauce
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1 tsp. sweet paprika
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Optional Garnish
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, diced or cherry tomatoes halved
- 4 Tbsp. dried mint or fresh parsley
Directions:
- Cook the pasta following the directions on packaging, until it is al dente. Drain and set to the side.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef. Add the chopped onion, red pepper or tomato paste, onion powder, ground cumin, sweet paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring regularly until onions are softened.
- In a bowl, combine yogurt sauce, Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt.
- Right before serving, melt 4 Tbsp. butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add sweet paprika, red pepper flakes, and salt. Whisk until butter is fully melted.
- To assemble individual bowls, layer pasta, yogurt sauce, and meat sauce. Drizzle the butter sauce and repeat for the other bowls.
- Optional: Garnish with diced or cherry tomatoes and dried mint or parsley.
